Brown & Korte Barristers was formed on July 1, 2003 as a continuation of the practices of Harry P. Brown and Catherine A. Korte. It is a partnership dedicated to the practice of insurance-related litigation.

Brown & Korte Barristers has chosen to remain restricted to insurance. We offer a full range of services in litigation, appellate advocacy and corporate legislative counsel for insurers.

Partners and associates at Brown & Korte Barristers are members of the Defence Research Institute, the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto, The Insurance Institute of Canada, and other organizations to maintain their knowledge, expertise and community/industry awareness. Our advocates are trained in mediation, arbitration and alternate means of dispute resolution. Our students-at-law are selected for their commitment to learning and their dedication to effective advocacy.

We work in partnership with our clients to deliver cost-effective legal services and the speedy resolution of files. We are committed to sharing our expertise with our clients, and regularly provide seminars and training customized to our clients' needs.
